The Shore farm is owned by Wesley Shore and is located in the Lower Susquehanna Valley area, in Washington Boro, PA. The farm is a 2nd generation farm that was built in 1948, but only began with chickens in 1978. Wesley is also involved in farming grain crops on the farm. Employees Katie Sholly and Doug Roots both help with the care of the hens and the packaging of the eggs. They have been a producer of brown eggs for Sauder Eggs for more than ten years.
The eggs they provide are from caged hens, meaning the hens are place in wire cages with feed and water being provided to each cage. The birds are housed with several hens in each cage, with plenty of space for comfortable movement.
